Hydrangeas were blooming in the park where I run. I started running last September, back when the autumn leaves were out. The seasons will soon have come full circle.

On the way home I passed a Torikizoku and it occurred to me that if they were open until 4 in the morning, I might not mind getting up early to go. Maybe I’ll give it a try sometime.


I bought a diamond whetstone at Nitori. It’s handy because you can sharpen without water. I’m not sure I did it right, but after about 10 minutes of sharpening, the edge came back.
