With the combination of a rust eraser and the diamond whetstone, the kitchen knife I bought 10 years ago (an ordinary Seki Magoroku) came out gleaming. The edge got dramatically better too, and even the sound while cutting has changed. If it was a “zaku” before sharpening, now it’s more of a “koto.” It’s fun to use. Tomatoes slice right through. This really does improve my QOL.
